I don’t believe we’ve fully grasped the impact of evolving from deterministic to probabilistic product experiences with the advent of AI. Likely more than anything else, it dramatically changes the what, the how and the who involved in building products. It’s something I’m still coming to terms with, transparently.

There is value in predictability and there is value in variability. One challenge is figuring out what use cases value which the most. And of course, they’re not entirely mutually exclusive either.

And a parting, philosophical thought: “As the extraordinary becomes increasingly ordinary, ordinary people will go to extraordinary lengths to experience the extraordinary. And perhaps one day, the ordinary will feel extraordinary.”
