It's 2:54 pm. I just realized I haven't written anything today.

Which is completely fine. No one cares. I don't really care that much.

But when you have a streak going, sometimes you just have to cheat to keep it going.

When I was like 24 and working in finance and fat I decided to get in shape by going to the gym every day. Sometimes I'd be at the office late the night before, sometimes I'd be out drinking late the night before, and I really didn't want to work out before going in to work, that was the last thing I wanted to do.

But I had the streak going, and I figured I'd probably just stop working out altogether if I broke it just once. So sometimes, I'd run to the gym (it was like two blocks away), scan my card, walk over to the pull-up bar, do a single pull-up, and then leave.

It worked. I got in really good shape. Until I inevitably got complacent because I was already in good shape and who cares if I miss a day at this point, I'll be fine. Then I got fat again.

Anyway, this was my cheat day to keep the streak alive. See you tomorrow.
