Using Vision Pro For Work Is Awesome: Personas
This is a series.
Using your Persona has many advantages. Each one could be its own story.
The benefits:
You always look camera ready: You don't ever have to worry about outfit, hair or general appearance.
No one can tell where you are. You can have a professional meeting anywhere you have decent Wi-Fi. With noise-cancelling AirPods, you can even be in a Starbucks and no one on the call will know.
If you move around, the camera tracks to your face; you always stay center frame.
When you cover your mouth, you can go on mute, then talk to others in your physical space without anyone seeing your lips move (great for telling someone to be quiet).
You can position anything you're looking at or reading off of in front of the camera, and it'll look like you're still staring straight at the camera. It's the teleprompter of the future.
In my experience, Persona quality has improved to the point where people don't recognize* it's not a real video of me, unless I tell them. In my last 20 video calls with strangers, only one recognized it — and that was because he was also a Vision Pro user.
For myself, the Persona feature alone is worth the price of admission for using Vision Pro for work.
*Or they recognize and don't say anything, which is possible. But I would bet they think it's just a Zoom video with an artificial background.
