A follow up to Burn Your Music Playlists … and Boost Your Brain?

I've been working on this music app and through the course of testing, I got sick of listening to my music from the past six months. Not that the songs are bad, but listening to them over and over again just tired me out.

So I dove back into my old playlists, including music I haven't listened to in at least 5 years, if not longer.

Man! The endorphin rush of songs you loved but hadn't heard in years, is therapeutic.

I'm not a fan of nostalgia, but digging back into the music crate has refreshed me in a way I hadn't expected.

Of course, this effect might only be placebo (disclosure: I happen to be sick as a dog while writing this) but there's something definitely magical about going back to your past.

I suppose this is what reunions try to capture; a method to rekindle a chemical reaction to past events.

Anyway, I mention all this because I'm afraid this will stick me back to the past. Still, I fully expect to escape this event horizon before I lose the "punch" of listening to favorite old songs.
