No matter where I look, everyone is somewhere else. Somewhere outside this magic reality we live in. Teenagers, adults, elderly, everyone is losing interest in the here and now and it scares the hell out of me.

Yes, there is an overlap with now old trends like the flood of content we live with, atomization of everything and the transactional aspect of much of modern life. No, this is not just a shift in the way people consume things. Even they way people are consuming (reality, digital content or anything else) is in a rush. Maybe this is what the tail end of the 90s web is.

The thing is, how can we improve the world if we are never here?
