spotify artist platform should allow artists to see the breakdown of types of songs that are trending.

breakdown would analyze a number of factors: instruments, rhythms, pitch, genre, chorus length, vocals/no vocals.

it would show the trends in # of listens vs the various factors of songs. could be a prediction engine for where the public’s music taste is going.

separately, you also could run it on old songs while comparing to popularity over time and identify which artists materially altered the direction of mainstream music taste.
