on writing for clarity
Hey reader.
Thought I should share a nugget, something most underrate and should do more often.
So, if you're having a difficult time understanding a seemingly complex concept or subject matter, an incredible hack is simply to write your way to clarity.
This singular activity forces you to organize your thoughts and exposes what you truly understand (or don’t).
And here’s the thing: it doesn’t have to be formal at first.
Do not hesitate by saying “I’m not a good writer”, "I'm not a good knowledge worker", or“I don’t know enough” because that’s the point — you’re learning.
Write informally. Use familiar analogies. Sound silly if you have to.
Add appropriate terminologies, refine, and structure your thoughts regarding the concept as you gain clarity and understanding.
Then share. Always.
Not only does it help someone who may be struggling to grasp a similar concept but sharing helps you advance through feedback and questions.
So, here’s my advice: Just write. Sound foolish (proudly). Learn as you go. Share as much as you can. You’ll be amazed at the growth this simple practice brings — personally and professionally.
