I still think albums matter, but I couldn't tell you what my favorite albums of 2023 or 2022 were. This serves as a fun time capsule to remind me what I liked.

(in order of release)

Hyperdrama - Justice

April 26

Justice had a few releases in the 2010s, but for me this album brought back the glory of their debut.

I Love You So F***ing Much - Glass Animals

July 19th

I loved Dreamland, and despite a little bit of corniness this album made me feel a lot of things.

I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU - JPEGMAFIA

August 1st

Unsettling first time through, but full of amazing verses and beats.

In Waves - Jamie xx

September 20th

Jamie is an incredible DJ and producer. I find a ton of music I like just by listening to his sets. This album had sounds I've never heard before and beautiful songs for the dance floor.

You Only Die 1nce - Freddie Gibbs

October 31st 🎃

Freddie is still somehow underrated. My favorite song got removed for sample reasons but it lives on

GNX - Kendrick Lamar

November 22nd

I grew up in LA, Kendrick is my favorite rapper of all time. This albums slaps.
