Today, I reconnected with my creative side in a way I hadn’t in quite some time.

I sat down with no expectations, just the hope that I might be able to create something meaningful.

By the end of the session, I’d created multiple pieces of art—and, for the first time in what felt like ages, I was genuinely happy with the outcome.

There’s something magical about moments like these.

They don’t come often, and they certainly can’t be forced. Sometimes, you just need to wait for inspiration to strike. It can be frustrating during the in-between periods, those stretches of time where the creative well feels dry. But days like today remind me why patience is so important in the creative process.

Inspiration is a mysterious thing. It can come from a book, a conversation, a walk outside, or even a quiet moment of reflection. For me, it arrived unexpectedly, but when it did, it felt like a floodgate opening.

Hours passed without me even realising; I was in flow, completely immersed in the act of creation.

These moments serve as a reminder of why it’s important to honour your creative instincts, even if they feel dormant. Creativity isn’t something you can demand on a schedule. Instead, it’s about creating the conditions for inspiration to take root when the time is right—being open, curious, and willing to act when the spark appears.

For anyone reading this who’s waiting for inspiration, I encourage you to embrace the waiting. Trust that the creative spark will come, even if it feels elusive now. In the meantime, experiment, explore, and set the stage for your next breakthrough. You never know when you might sit down, start creating, and find yourself surprised by just how much you’re capable of.

Today reminded me of the joy that comes from creating for the sake of creating.

It’s a joy I hope to hold onto as I move forward, and it’s one I hope to inspire in others as well.

Today’s Thought:

The only way out is through, you have to put in the work, take each day as an opportunity to inch ever closer to ones goals.
