"Change is Inevitable"

The world is shaped by those who are bold enough to pioneer the change they envision. From James Watt's Steam Engine (18th century) to Wright Brother's First Flight in 1903, and 66 years later, The Moon Landing, The Computer Age and currently, The Age of AI that aims to achieve the so-called Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). However —

It is pivotal to acknowledge that such advancement may expelled and diminish many conventional virtues, from roles and skills. Although it isn't new, the barrier to adapt has become even more challenging, even to some roles that existed for decades or centuries

Sometimes around 1920-1930s, The "Lamplighters" across Europe were replaced by electricity invention, which then goes the same for the likes of Milkmen (replaced by refrigerators) and more

Fast forward to today, the field of Software Engineering saw the same fate with AI advancement. With the likes of Claude, and OpenAI's o1, nearly everyone can 'learn to code' thus making the barrier more accessible than before — with the right mindset, that is (huge note)

In fact, now, we saw the rise of Design Engineering role that combines Figma, Cursor and LLM APIs. This is inevitable, and I can vividly understand why some people are being resentful to such "change"

But, some people choose to adapt and they managed to, in fact, build their own wealth by adopting AI - not necessarily as the product to sell, but some are adopted internally to streamline the process

Alas, we're truly living in such wizardry times, and those who are bold to embrace, will most likely triumphant in the future. Be it at business, arts and other sectors

The change is inevitable. Embrace and onward!
